Welcome to my maiden voyage as a Design Team member (a Sneetch) for Double Trouble Challenge!  Each Double Trouble challenge has three parts, one of which is to partner with another challenge blog. Here's this week's challenges:

Double Trouble Challenge #53 has the following parts:
  • Trouble maker "Thing 1" says this week is a "free-for-all"! She says her theme is 'Some Thing', 'Any Thing' and 'Every Thing'!
  • Trouble maker "Thing 2" asks that we play along with one of our past partners - I chose Retro Rubber Stamp Challenge Blog #131's Tic-Tac-Toe where I used the middle vertical row (washi tape, die cut, pastel colors).  The stamp is 3 years old (from 2017).
  • And finally, trouble maker "Thing 3" asks that we create our background ourselves using scraps, leftovers, bits, and pieces, etc.  I chose to use washi tape for my background.
I don't know about you, but I've accumulated an incredible number of rolls of washi tape over the years! This was the perfect chance to use some of them!!! My favorite color is shades of aqua, so finding a couple patterns of tape in pastel aqua was pretty easy.  I simply lined them up and created my background in no time!

The leaf frond was created by putting three strips of aqua dotted washi tape on a piece of light aqua paper, then die cut, and then embossed using the same die to create surface texture on the leaf.  The flower element was die cut, then I used a craft sponge to darken the edges, and creased each internal petal to add depth.

The final step was to  add a sentiment. Since I had a specific person in mind to send the card to, I chose a lovely saying to bring a smile to her face.  The flower and leaf frond were both attached to the card using Mini Glue Dots.

I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" since the washi tape makes things go so easy and fast.

Grab your favorite Chip Snacks or two... this can be potato chips, corn chips, tortilla chips, crackers, pretzels, etc. The dip is any type that goes with the chip of your choice. While you're enjoying your Chips... Look for Chip Shapes that resemble something else, or make something unique out of your snacks. But don't eat your findings until you take a photo or two. You can enjoy this while you are creating but you may want to have hand wipes nearby.

Here's what I found/made to illustrate my love of Stacy's Naked Chips, and my husband's preference for tortilla chips:

  2. Like your calculations of difficulty, but I had done so many die cuts in an effort to find the best one for my background so it was a 4 for me. Your card is so pretty and loving that die cut and sentiment. You and I both covered cardstock with washi tape for our die cuts, and I guess that's where my time went... probably had a 5 x 7 at least for all my cuts.
