This anniversary card was made as a Design Team card for Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge #390, with an optional "bright & bold" theme.
The three rectangular pieces under the tag that were required by the sketch are pretty leafy patterns from the My Minds Eye "Fancy That" paper pad. I cut them based on the squares in the pattern. The third rectangle was an SU Basic Black strip. The three panels were glued to the card front using Tombow glue.
The tag was cut using the SU "Scalloped Tag Topper" punch from a 2" wide piece of the same pink cardstock as I used for the main panel. I added the gold mat layer by cutting a piece of gold foil cardstock that was 1/4" wider than the punched pink tag, and centered it in the punch (it need to be slightly wider than the pink tag).
The "celebrate" sentiment was die cut from gold foil cardstock using a die from the Sizzix "Celebrate" thinlits die set. I also punched a black version of the word, and glued it to the back of the gold version. I glued the black version to the back of the gold one using Tombow glue. I offset the black slightly to the right and down to give the appearance of a "shadow" behind the gold word. This was then glued to the front of the tag.
Finally, I slipped a narrow piece of gold ribbon into the tag slot, and attached the tag to the card front using adhesive foam strips to raise it off the card front a little for added dimension.
This card was pretty easy to pull together once I decided on the design papers I wanted to use. I am rating its difficulty at "2" out of a possible "5" due mainly to the need to create the gold mat for the tag.
